Gauge 5 stitches per inch over stockinette stitch for crown. After knitting first garter stitch triangle, check that it matches schematic measurements.

One pair of straight needles, a 16 in/ 40cm circular needle, and one set of dpns in size required to obtain gauge. I used US #6 /4.25mm. You may need a size or two above or below that.
