This pretty little shawl features a pop of accent color separating the garter stitch body from the border. Little bow ties form the border into a scalloped edge with no tricky knitting required! If you do not have a few yards of accent color in your stash, this shawl looks just as sweet with accents worked in the main color; just remember to hold out that yardage. Pattern is 3 pages long and is suitable for a knitter who can knit, purl, pick up stitches along an edge, and keep track of a 4 row repeat. The specific increases used and the i-cord ties are explained in the directions. As with all my patterns, it has been test knit and professionally tech edited to be clear and free of errors. Description

Finished measurements: 48 in/122 cm wide X 16 in/43 cm deep. Measurements are easily altered, though may require different amounts of yarn.

Gauge: 22 sts and 46 rows/ 4in/10cm over garter stitch.

What you need:400yds/366 m MC and 328 yds/300 m CC of a sock weight yarn. 35 yds/32 m of a third color sock or fingering weight yarn for accents.

One 32 in/80 cm circular needle in size required to obtain gauge. I used US #5/3.75mm. You may need a size or two above or below that.

2 dpns, size US#2/2.75mm, for i-cord ribbons.
