Button Lover's Easy Mitts Pattern

These easy to knit mitts are fun for any knitter that can knit, purl, and sew on a button. No buttonholes and no seaming required. What a great way to show off some of those special buttons from your button jar! I chose different varieties of light neutrals for my mitts pictured here, but you can mix and match any colors and types of buttons to create your own unique pair. These make a quick gift too! This pattern is suitable for a knitter who has learned the basics (knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on and bind off and making a backward loop on the needle). The mitts are knit back and forth on straight needles to make a flat piece that is then folded. Sewing on buttons is also required.
