Family Whirlwind Hat Pattern

This hat was designed with a double layer band over the ears for those days when the wind blows right through an ordinary hat. You can knit both the body and the ear lining in your favorite outdoor wool for warmth, or choose to knit the lining in a softer wool or non-wool yarn. In sizes from toddler to adult large, everyone in the family can get out and enjoy those whirlwind winter days in comfort! This pattern is a fun knit for the intermediate knitter. Hat is worked in the round from the brim up and the ear-band lining is picked up and worked afterwards. The pattern is 4 pages long and includes charted directions for the pattern areas. If you prefer not to work from charts, an additional one page pdf of the written out directions for the pattern areas should be downloaded when you download your pattern.
