Perfect for heavy sweaters, hats, shawls. Easy to care for Superwash.  60% Superwash Merino, 20% Super Fine Alpaca, 20% Nylon

Something a little different for a sock yarn — this yarn has added nylon for strength and alpaca for softness. The yarn takes dye well, but colors might appear slightly more muted due to the alpaca content. The resulting fabric is soft, with a gentle halo from the alpaca. We would recommend knitting this on #1 needles for socks.

Blending alpaca with Merino creates yarn which will drink up the color.  As for how the two fibers marry together, in texture, this yarn is softer than our fine Merino yarns because of the addition of alpaca.  Twenty percent alpaca lends enough of the soft silkiness which is innate to the alpaca fiber to create a unique yarn.  This yarn has endless possibilities beyond socks!  Here is a fine sweater yarn, lovely shawl base, or your perfect yarn for hats.
