The slip stitch heart design centers perfectly on the back of the hand when worn and is worked using only one color at a time - a fun technique! (You can make your love a matching hat too with the Young at Heart Hat pattern. These mitts are worked from the cuff up and in the round. The pattern is designed for intermediate knitters who are comfortable using double pointed needles. While working the gusset there are three different things to keep track of at the same time, and I have included a shortcut row-by-row "cheat sheet" for that section to help you keep track.
